"Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don't only give your care, but give your heart as well." - Mother Teresa

Rebecca and Matthew, second time parents
Rebecca: I cannot thank Melissa enough for being there for the birth of my second daughter. She was so full of knowledge and helped me overcome my fears of having my first un-medicated childbirth. She was incredibly caring and gentle, and she kept calm throughout my entire birth. She was a huge part of my birthing experience and I definitely couldn't have done it without her support. I would highly recommend Melissa for anyone looking to have a doula at their birth. She will create an amazing and positive experience for everyone involved.

Matthew: I was first nervous when my partner told me she wanted to get a doula for her second pregnancy. So nervous that I actually skipped our first meeting, mostly because I didn't really understand what doulas were about, and that I initially felt like my role was getting replaced. But my partner convinced me that it was really important for us to give this a shot, so I listened to her, and I'm so glad I did. Upon my first time meeting Melissa I immediately felt calm and relaxed around her. She was so clear with everything she was telling us and really helped me understand that she wasn't there to replace me, but to make us calm and be the support system that I honestly didn't know we needed, and I feel I can speak for my partner when I say that we definitely need it. After several meetings the time came to have our baby, and Melissa was with us every step of the way. From the moment Rebecca's water broke until even after we had the baby, we had that constant support that was so important.

I wouldn't have made it without Melissa there with me. If you have a shred of doubt about getting a doula, don't. This was the best decision we made when it came to our pregnancy and I can't thank Melissa enough. Go get a doula (specifically Melissa).

Megan, Second Time Mom
I absolutely loved having Melissa there with me every step of the way and it was so nice having her there to hold my hand and guide my breathing. Having somebody close by that is a familiar voice in the (sometimes) blur of giving birth is the most comforting thing you can ask for. She was always there to pick up the phone, answer a message or listen to my fears and concerns. When I made the call she was there in a flash and prepared for it all. I felt so comfortable and prepared going into labour. I had zero fear - and I really think Melissa had a lot to do with that. She's really not just a help for me - she was there for my partner too. He felt much more comfortable and relaxed - He's grateful too! Thanks for holding my hand Melissa and being a part of such a wonderful experience. You'll always be a friend and I'll never forget that you were there for one of the most important days of my life. You'll be there for the next one.

Peggy and Les, second time parents
A huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being our birth doula. You did an exceptional job before, during and after the birth of Nicholas. You have been an educator, support person and friend. You made a huge impact, and we have nothing but gratitude for you, and your role in the safe delivery of our son!

Julia and Andrew, first time parents

We were so relieved to have found Melissa for our pregnancy and delivery. Her personal and professional experience gave us both so much comfort and her reassurance through the entire experience was much appreciated.  Melissa had helpful coping techniques and fantastic advice along the way that was applicable to us both. Neither of us could imagine having our baby without Melissa by our side - her calm and confident demeanour kept us both calm during our delivery and promoted a very enjoyable labour and delivery. She comes very highly recommended, in our opinion, she will change your experience meeting your precious addition to your family.
